For those of you in the States who have just finished Thanksgiving, I hope you're having a wonderful weekend filled with turkey and dressing and pumpkin pie. (Save some for me, will you?) We've had a busy week of trying to settle in and stay as cool as possible. While I'm excited to be back, part of me wonders how I'm going to survive the next three months of heat, because let me tell you, it's HOT here!
We arrived home Tuesday night to no water, but thankfully we were able to get someone to fix things by Wednesday afternoon. Apparently, the city has been putting in new pipes, which is wonderful, but "missed" quite a few houses in the process.
Unpacking has been quite a job. Not only had we not completely finished moving in when I left for the states, the house we rented for Luis and Fernanda is still being lived in by the previous tenants. They are supposed to move out tomorrow, but we will see. I know Luis and Fernanda will be excited to start moving into their own place as soon as possible. We're also storing a lot of furniture and supplies for their new house, so I'm looking forward to converting the garage into a school room once they are settled. We are so excited to have them here and look forward to working with them in the weeks and months to come.
They, along with Scott have already jumped into ministry. I'll be posting photos in the next few days and share with you some wonderful things that happened while we were gone.
Until then, enjoy the photos of our extended family. It will be time soon to find home for all the kittens and puppies, but we are enjoying them in the meantime.
Blessings,
Lisa
