Heart of Africa Giveaway...

I have to say it's good to be back in Africa. Even though I'm at my aunt's in South Africa and not home in Mozambique at the moment, there something to be said about the slower pace and incredible beauty around me.

Of course slower might not be the correct description. We've started school again after a few weeks off, and I'm busy helping Janelle pack up her house as she prepares to move back to the States. I'm also writing again after a few months off during our furlough.

I promised another giveaway, and this is one I'm excited about. (Meaning I wish I could win the grand prize!) We'll have SIX winners including a grand prize winner, 1st prize, and four runners up.

Framed animal photos + copies of Blood Ransom, Blood Covenant, and An Ocean Away. You choose your favorite African animal from my photos and I'll have them placed in this beautiful wood frame.

Copies of Blood Covenant and An Ocean Away

FOUR runners up will receive one copy of their choice of either Blood Covenant or An Ocean Away

How to enter: Leave a comment on this blog post (either on Blogger or Face Book) Leave a way for me to contact you AND tell me what animal you would chose if you win the grand prize.

If you are signed up for my newsletter, you will be automatically entered. You can sign up here.

Feel free to spread the word! Giveaway closes Saturday night at midnight, PST.

For a peek at what you could have framed, I took these photos last week as we passed through Kruger game park on our way to Mozambique. We didn't see many animals, but did enjoy watching this mother and baby.

Be blessed today!

Void where prohibited; the odds of winning depend on the number of entrants. Entering the giveaway is considered a confirmation of eligibility on behalf of the enterer in accord with these rules and any pertaining local/federal/international laws.

Hi Lisa, being a cat person, i would have to say a picture of a lion would be very exciting. I went to the zoo recently and could not leave the lion habitat. They are so powerful. I am really looking forward to reading both new books when they come out. Be sure and give your aunt many hugs while you are packing her house up. Thank you for being a blessing in so many lives. jeanne-mouse@hotmail.com

  13. I think my first post didn't go through.

  14. Hi Lisa,
Thank you for another wonderful giveaway. I'm happy to hear you made it back to Africa safely. If I won the grand prize, I would love giraffes. Thank you again.

  15. What an awesome giveaway. Lions, elephants,or tigers.I believe the elephant with her babies are my favorite of the above pic.Africa look to be a beautiful place, but could be very dangerous. You guys are doing such wonderful works for Our Lord overthere. My prayers go out to you all.I have all three of these books on my TBR list.I have "Blood Ransom" on Kindle but have not had time to read it yet.

  16. What an awesome giveaway!!!
    I would chose lions.
I really want to visit Africa sometime. I tried to do a safari when I turned 40 but I couldn't get the details to work out.

  17. Great giveaway Lisa! And I'm still sad we missed you while you were in the US...maybe next time. Well, I do love the elephants as many have also said! Hope all is well with you and your sweet family.

  18. Hi! Thank you for such thoughtful and
generous giveaways! I am hoping to win
one of your six winners...Elephants are so
devoted to one another and I have read that
they actually cry when one of their pack
dies. One of the pictures I would love to
    have are the mother/child Elephants!
Many thanks to you and take care, Cindi

  19. Love reading through your comments! I, too, love the way elephants are so devoted to one another. I've also watched lionesses with their offspring together and you can see the connection between them.

And Julie, I was so sorry we missed seeing you as well! Maybe you'll just have to visit this side. :-)

Wendy, don't give up going on safari one day! It really is an experience of a lifetime.

  20. angie stewart4:50 AM

Definitely the lions, but love the mama elephant and baby...
    love your work!
    keep up the good work!

  21. I think my first choice would be a giraffe, then maybe a lion or zebra--I can't believe no one has said zebra!?!

  22. Aweseome! Glad you are back in Africa.

  23. Oops forgot to tell you what animal.... I can't remember what all you have taken pcitures of, but I like those that I have seen. I think I would prefer a tiger or baby elephant. :)

  24. this is a cool give away! I like tigers, elephants, zebra...pretty much any wild life animal. :)

    americangurl05 (at) gmail (dot) com

  25. I'm glad you mentioned Zebra, Megan. I love photographing them because of the striking black and white against the bush (often bright green) background.

No tigers, in Africa, though. (At least not in the wild). I did see a large male baboon today, walking down the street in front of my aunt's home. I've seen smaller monkeys, but never a large baboon. Wish I could have gotten to my camera before it wandered away!

  26. Love the new website banner, Lisa. I just got Blood Covenant this week, and I need to order Oceans Away. Can't wait to read--love your writing. :)

  27. Ah...thanks for your sweet words, Beth!

  28. So hard to choose just one animal!! I love your pictures of all the different animals. I would probably choose the elephant though, but if a combination were allowed I could see myself mixing it up. :)

Thanks for the opportunity to enter.
