This month, I was able to chat all the way to California via Skype with award-winning author Kathi Macias about her latest release, Special Delivery. This is the second book in her Freedom Series that deals with human trafficking.
Posted below is part one of my interview with Kathi. Part two will be up March 20th on our International Christian Fiction Writers Blog. You can learn more about Kathi, her books, and how to help put an end to human trafficking on her website.
GIVEAWAY:
Kathi is generously offering a giveaway of Special Delivery on both blogs. So for this first interview, please leave a comment along with any questions you might have for Kathi. And don't forget to include your email address! I will draw a winner next Monday night a midnight PST.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Kathi,
ReplyDeleteI love the energy that you've put into making people aware of this tragedy that targets and involves children.
You love the children. "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." KJV
God bless you, Sister in Christ!

Thank you so much, Jean Ann. Your words encourage me!
DeleteI love Kathi's books; not because they are entertaining stories but because they are deep ones and wow they stay with you a long time. She brings awareness to real issues in our world today.
ReplyDeleteKathi definitely has a heart for Christ and it shows through each and every book that she writes.
I am looking forward to reading "Special Delivery".

DeleteThank you so much for the interview of Kathi Macias. It breaks my heart to think of children, especially babies, being sold. Human trafficking is a disgrace to the world.
ReplyDeleteKathi Macias is a wonderful inspiring author who calls the readers to action. I would love to win a copy of her book, Special Delivery.

I'll be honest, I would like that book. Of course that's why I'm posting this comment, and I truly don't have too much more to write. Except that I'm glad that there are authors out there that are bold enough to write books dealing with the darkest realities in this fallen world.

Exactly! I am often asked why I write about such dark subjects. I tell people I don't write about darkness; I write about the Light shining in the darkness. There is no subject or place or crime too dark that God's Light cannot penetrate and bring deliverance. Blessings!
DeleteThanks so much for taking the time to share from your heart, Kathi through this interview. Love the reminder that God's light does shine through the darkness.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this interview that reminds me of the urgency to pray for those who are in the horrible grip of the sex trafficking not only abroad but in the US. I am going to read the book as soon as I can find it. It encourages me to try to do more through my church family too. Dawn ddt8372@aol.com
ReplyDeleteI just spent the day in training with the local anti trafficking group so that I can speak and raise awareness of this issue. It's so interesting that the trafficking issue is showing up on more and more blogs. Its huge on my heart and I'm glad to see attention being given to it. Its a hard topic and I think it's great that you are using the platform God has given you to raise awareness of this very real reality.
