Holiday Giveaway!
I’ve managed to avoid the swine flu, but ended up at the doctor anyway this week with what the doctor diagnosed as a “very bad infection.” Like I didn’t know! ☺ In the end, I feel as if I’ve lost a week, but I am gaining back my strength, and now feel almost 100% better.
With the holidays around the corner, I have an irresistible contest for this month! (Remember the chocolate hint?) My sister-in-law has started CK Creations where she makes and sells some of the best toffee you’ve ever tasted. So this month, I’m giving away a ½ pound of CK Creations along with a copy of my Montana Mistletoe and three holiday cookbooks! For the toffee, you can choose between Milk, Dark, White, and Peanut Butter, or a sampler box with all four flavors!
For a chance to win, all you have to do is leave a comment below! For those signed up to receive my yahoo newsletter, you'll be automatically entered if you qualify. (North America mailing addresses only please for this contest.)
I’d love to hear from you, too. What’s your favorite homemade holiday treat? Leave a comment below and share! Recipes welcome! I'll draw a winner on November 16th!
For additional chances to win a couple great books, visit a new blog I’m a part of that is showcasing fiction from all over the world. This week, we’re giving a way a copy of Scared, by Tom Davis, and The Gentlemen’s Conspiracy by Nick Daniels. You won’t want to miss either one of these fantastic releases. Stop by and leave a comment for a chance to win.
And lastly, if you’re looking for the perfect gift to send to friends and family, order your own Almond Toffee by CK Creations. Email Cheryl here. It’s the perfect holiday (and anytime) gift!
Blessings,
Lisa

Do I have to chose just one? If so, then it must be pecan pie, or maybe it's the cornbread dressing....no....the iced sugar cookies....no no, it's the toffee!!!

Oooh what a wonderful prize! A book and some toffee to snuggle up with it! :) I love to make cookies at the holidays - who doesn't! but my caramel apple pie is always a hit. It's pretty easy too, just melt caramels and pour over apples in a pie shell. you can either top it with a crust or a crumble of flour, brown sugar, and butter! Thanks for the chance to win and read another one of you books! and I'm glad you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your life with us. I like your updates on facebook as well as your blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the head's up on the toffee.
My favorite treat for Christmas/holidays are those silly little wreaths made out of corn flakes and a red hot.

This is neat-didn't have a chance to post the last time. Here's a great recipe I love to make...
ReplyDeleteDrain liquid off a 16 oz. tub of cottage cheese ( I use the fat free) and put in bowl.
Mix in 1 large package of orange sugar free jello.
Drain liquid from one can crushed pineapple and one can mandarin orange slices and mix in.
Mix in 1 tub of cool whip (again I use the fat free)
Refrigerate and enjoy
You can substitute strawberry jello and use about a cup of sliced strawberries-nice change
Hope you like it. Nona Lacy
That sounds so yummy, Nona! I think I can even make that in Africa.
ReplyDeleteThanks to all of you who have stopped by. I'm extending the contest through the week as we're flying home today and internet access is limit. Blessings all!
