...about visiting the US.
1. Public Restrooms that have toilet paper (and don't smell)
2. Unlimited fountain drinks
3. I don't have to make my own maple syrup (I did offer, sis)
4. All you can eat buffets
5. Mexican food (Texas here we come!)
6. Roads with no (or very few) potholes
7. Fall colors
8. Cousins, cousins, and more cousins (And grandparents, of course!)
9. Customer service that actually exists
10. And in spite of 1-9, hearing my kids tell me they miss Africa (And so do I!)
Don't forget to leave a comment on my last post for a chance to win a wonderful beauty basket from Swaziland!
Blessings!
Lisa
No toilet paper? Eeek!
ReplyDeleteWhat a humbling list.
You remind me again of all I have to be thankful for and all the whining I should NOT be doing about stuff.
I have to chuckle about the TP, or shall I say the lack of TP. We stopped the other day at a rest stop here in the US and my husband ask for the TP. I had to remind him we don't have to worry about that here. Missing home anyway. :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL That's too funny! Glad the US can still offer some comforts, even though it seems y'all left your hearts in Africa.
ReplyDeleteLove you!
Never know what you miss till you don't have it and then come back to it.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be included in the basket giveaway. Thanks.

Love your list and the use of the photo. There is no place like "home" but I love the adventures God is taking you on. Thank you for including us on your journey.
ReplyDeleteLisa it was so wonderful meeting you, Scott and your beautiful children! Hope to see you again before you all head back home. Keeping Scott's uncle and safe travels for you in my prayers.
