Then I finally decided that while there is definite benefit in extracurricular things, they don't have to have those things to turn out okay. And yes, that time together as a family can't be missed.

Praying for you guys today!Lisa Harrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11358581487206184033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20065726.post-59713851665284939332010-10-30T21:27:49.726-05:002010-10-30T21:27:49.726-05:00Oh I just love this post! We talk about this very thing a lot and living where we do it is hard to maintain perspective.

For us, we say no to a lot of things the school puts out. Saying no to a lot of that cuts out quite a bit. We also don't buy into the idea that our kids have to be involved in lots of extracurricular things in order to be well balanced. If they want to try something its great, but we also encourage them to just "play" at home. They love that!

We try to spend most nights at home together, eat dinner as a family and have night time devos. Even church activities can become overwhelming if we aren't selective. Luckily our church encourages us to take time out...no guilt:)Kerrie Riggshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00392494548065218908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20065726.post-48948115249823263532010-10-30T11:40:54.607-05:002010-10-30T11:40:54.607-05:00Wonderful post.
